Investing.com – Mexican stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Services and Consumer Staples sectors led stocks lower.
At the close in Mexico, the stock fell 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were GCC SAB de CV (), which rose 3.99% or 8.23 points to trade at 214.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A () added 3.84% or 1.42 points to end at 38.37 and Grupo Bimbo, SAB De CV () rose 3.33% or 1.90 points to 58.92 in late trading.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Carso, SAB De CV (), which fell 6.32% or 9.65 points to trade at 143.03 at the close. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV () fell 4.57% or 8.69 points to end at 181.26 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit () fell 4.19% or 0.44 points to 10.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Mexican Stock Exchange 64 to 62, and 15 finished unchanged.
For August, deliveries fell 1.72% or 73.00 to $4,172.90 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, the contract for July delivery fell 0.12% or 0.09 to settle at $76.51 a barrel, while the August contract rose 0.66% or 0.53 to trade at $80.38 a barrel.
USD/MXN rose 0.04% to 17.35, while EUR/MXN was unchanged 0.02% at 19.89.
