The United States vice president, JD Vance, emphasized Bitcoin’s strategic role in the policy of the United States and warned the cryptographic community that remains politically committed or risk being ignored.
Speaking at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, vice president JD Vance urged the cryptographic community to continue their political impulse since 2024, warning that transformative technologies such as Bitcoin (BTC) will not be immune to political decisions.
“Unless you get involved in politics, politics will ignore this industry,” Vance said. “What happens in the world of bureaucracy will even affect the most valuable technologies.”
He accredited the growing activism of the community to influence the national direction and encouraged the attendees to “take him to 2026 and beyond.”

Vance also highlighted the strategic role that Bitcoin could play in national politics, citing the launch of government support Bitcoins reserve Under President Donald Trump.
“Bitcoin is owned by about 50 million Americans,” he said. “We want to start implementing Bitcoin’s strategic importance for the United States government.”
Noting China’s anti -bitcoin position, Vance argued that the United States should adopt the opposite approach, declaring:
“If the Communist Republic of China is leaning from Bitcoin, then maybe the United States should be inclined to Bitcoin.”
