On Friday, the stock market has skyrocketed, the Blue Chip Dow reaching a closing record, after the president of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell underlined a possible rate reduction at the next political meeting of the Central Bank during his remarks at the Jackson Hole symposium.
The “changing risk balance can justify adjust our political position,” said Powell, taking note of recent softness in the labor market.

Despite Friday’s rally, the main Wall Street indices closed mixed for the week. The 1.5%increased, won 0.3%, while technology lost 0.6%. The small capitalization jumped 3.3%.
More volatility could be in store in the coming week, investors assess the prospects of the economy, inflation, interest rates and benefits of companies in the midst of current trade tensions.
In the economic calendar, the most important will be the PCE price index on Friday, which is the favorite inflation gauge of the Fed. This will be accompanied by the latest consumer confidence reading, as well as fresh housing data.
